What is this?
The Pomodoro Technique is a simple focus method: work in short, intense intervals with intentional breaks to recharge. A common rhythm is 25 minutes of focused work followed by a 5 minute break. After several cycles, take a longer break.
How this timer works:
- Modes: Focus, Short Break, Long Break.
- Defaults: Focus 25m, Short 5m, Long 15m, long break every 4 sessions. You can change these in Settings.
- Auto-start next interval: When enabled, the next mode starts automatically (even if this tab is in the background).
- Session counter: Increments after each completed Focus session.
- Notifications + sound: You’ll get a browser notification and a short beep pattern at the end of each interval.
- Controls: Start/Pause, Reset (resets current mode’s time), and Skip (advance to the next mode).
Tip: Keep tasks small and specific. Jot a quick goal before hitting Start, and adjust durations to match your energy.
